Professor of the Practice of Engineering ManagementJohn’s areas of teaching and research are technology strategy, technology marketing, systems engineering, and technology and public policy. His current research interest is in how to accelerate the commercialization and deployment of radical and disruptive innovation. He is a co-founder and director of the International Accelerated Radical Innovation Institute. He has been a strategy and marketing consultant to local and national technology companies in information technology and telecommunications, and in the summers he offers workshops for local technology company executives under the auspices of the Nashville Technology Council. Before coming to Vanderbilt, he worked in strategic planning and business development in the energy and telecommunications industries. |
